Thinking Outside the Cookie Sheet

Recipe for Cast Iron Skillet Cookies found here...


2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter . softened
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. heavy cream, milk, or half and half
lots of chocolate chips [I use semi-sweet, milk, and dark chocolate]

Preheat oven to 350ยบ. In bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl mix butter and sugars until light and creamed together. Add egg, vanilla, and cream and stir to incorporate. Combine with flour mixture until well-mixed. Stir in chocolate chips. Press lightly into cast iron skillet. Bake about 35-40 minutes or until edges are golden. Don't over-bake. Cookies will continue to cook in skillet.

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! We are going to have to try this when we get home. Oh wait I know someone who has a cast iron skillet. : )
