Best LDS Garment Whitener

INGREDIENTS:
48 oz. powder Cascade
3lb box of Oxi Clean White Revive
Persil Pro-White Technology Power Pearls
White vinegar

*Combine 48 oz. Cascade with Oxi Clean White Revive. Mix together and store in a container.

TO WASH
Fill a kitchen sink or plastic storage container with hot, hot ,hot water and add 1 cup of Cascade/Oxi mix and 1 cap full of the Persil Pro-White Technology Power Pearls and 1 cup of white vinegar. Let garments or any white items soak over night or several hours. (I like to give them a few stirs).
Then drain and finish them with a rinse cycle in your washer and dry. Seriously makes them whiter than anything I've tried!

(As of now, Walmart is the only place I know of that carries Persil.)

Soft and Silky Legs

I made some of this and tried it yesterday, and it was fantastic!!

Homemade Scrub:
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup oil (olive, canola, vegetable, avocado, coconut, etc.)
5 Tbsp. fresh squeezed citrus juice

(I used olive oil (not virgin) and lime juice. I bought a shatterproof crock at WalMart to keep it in.)

Bath Time:
Draw a warm hot bath.
Soak for about five minutes.
Shave one leg.
Take a palm full of your  scrub and scrub that leg and then rinse off.
Shave your leg again.
Take a palm full of scrub and scrub your leg again.
Repeat on your other leg.
After your bath, dry off and then lotion your legs.

When you shave your leg the first time, it's going to remove the hair. when you scrub after you shave, it removes any dead skin. By shaving your leg again after scrubbing, you are getting all of that dead skin off your leg. You will need to rinse your razor frequently.

One Smart Grandma

When my grandkids were here a few weeks ago
they decorated the cement out front with
Sidewalk Paint. Now, I had never heard
of sidewalk paint before, just
good old sidewalk chalk...

I went to pick up more sidewalk paint to have
on hand for the next time they visit, but do
you know how much
Crayola wants you to
pay for this stuff? It's ridiculous!

So, I went online and found this recipe to make
my own
homemade sidewalk paint:

1 part corn starch
1 part cold water

food coloring

Put the cornstarch in a small plastic bowl, and
gradually stir in the cold water. Blend with a
whisk or a hand mixer. Divide the mixture
into individual plastic bowls. [If you use
containers with lids you can save
any leftovers for the next time.]

Add your food coloring [6 to 8 drops] and stir. If
the paint seems too dry, just add a little more
water until you get the consistency you want.
If you thin down the paint with a little more
water you can also use a
spray bottle as well
as
paintbrushes to create a masterpiece. As
you apply the paint it may seem dull but
it will brighten as the water evaporates.

Now go and paint the world and don't worry about
the environment because the paint will wash
off with water, is biodegradable, and
won't harm plumbing or plants.
