sunday reflections:

:: relief society :: prayer and personal revelation

jospeh smith: make everything [you] undertake a subject of prayer.

it is the privilege of the children of god to come to god and get revelation... god is not a respecter of persons. we all have the same privilege.

no man can receive the holy ghost without receiving revelation. the holy ghost is a revelator.

:: sunday school :: mosiah 29 . alma 1-4

kings and priests . political and religious
kings rule justly over civil rights of the people. priests perform ordinances and receive revelation from god. very few have what it takes to be a righteous king or a righteous priest. even fewer are able to be both at the same time. the kingdom of god: righteous king and priest... a false king is a tyrant . a false priest is an oppressor.

president hinckley was a great example in showing how latter.day saints need to heed the eleventh article of faith: we claim the privilege of worshiping almighty god according to them dictates of our own conscience and allow all men the same privilege. let them worship how . where . or what they may.

alma 4:8 - for they saw and beheld with great sorrow that the people of the church began to be lifted up in the pride of their eyes and to set their hearts upon riches and upon the vain things of the world. that they began to be scornful one toward another and thy began to persecute those that did not believe according to their own will and pleasure.

:: sacrament meeting :: report of youth and leaders from youth conference theme: get a grip [on the iron rod]

make adjustments in your life so you can be great instead of good. give it even more to get from great to exceptional...

everyone has different needs. yet everyone was able to gain what they needed at youth conference.

we must stand together and help each other.
