I Get The Sensation Of...

I survived the first week of school and
deserve some serious chocolate.
This cake may do the trick...



Peppermint Pattie Poke Cake

Cake

1 box triple chocolate fudge cake mix, and the
water, vegetable oil, and eggs called for in cake recipe

Filling
1 box [4-serving size] white chocolate instant pudding mix
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract

Frosting
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
1 container whipped milk chocolate frosting
3/4 cup coarsely chopped York Peppermint Patties [8 candies]

Heat oven to 350ยบ [325 for dark or nonstick pan].
Make cake as directed for 9x13 inch pan. Cool 15 minutes.
Poke top of warm cake every 1/2 inch with handle of wooden spoon.


In a medium bowl, beat filling ingredients with wire whisk about
two minutes. Immediately pour over cake. Cover loosely
and refrigerate about two hours or until chilled.

Stir 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract into frosting. Spread frosting
over top of cake. Sprinkle with peppermint patties.
Store loosely covere
d in refrigerator.

UHHHHH!!!!! I NEED that right NOW!!!! I'm having some gall bladder problems, which means I can't eat ANYTHING fatty or oily, so you might imagine how bad I want that cake. Sorry if that was too much information! I'm fine, it's just hard to have self control over things like peppermint patty cake!
