what have we lost: companionship. what do we have to console us: we will see and be with loved ones again. the spiritual presence of those who have passed.
children must rise just as they died. we can there hail our lovely infants with the same glory . the same loveliness in the celestial glory. you will have the joy . the pleasure . and satisfaction of nurturing this child after its resurrection until it reaches the stature of its spirit...

the lack of a testimony and not understanding the principles of the gospel caused misconceptions for coriaton that led him to sin. but alma loved his son and was sensitive to corianton.s questions and concerns. alma inquired diligently of the lord . gave it great consideration . and was able to explain the plan of salvation to coriantin in such a way that when he was finished corianton was called by god to preach the word. we are blessed to have the record of alma.s discourse to corianton so that we can better understand the plan of salvation and increase our testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel.

preparing spiritually to serve a mission
learn to comfortably talk to people and bear your testimony. you cannot gain a testimony of something you do not know. look at life with spiritual eyes as well as with physical eyes. increase knowledge of the gospel through study and prayer. pray for the opportunity to have missionary experiences. read the book of mormon as if every sentence matters. ponder what you learn and apply it in your life. learn to set goals and work to achieve them. know in your heart as well as in your head. accept and magnify church callings.
