:: relief society :: establishing the cause of zion
the building up of zion is a cause that has interested the people of god in every age. any place where the saints gather is zion. zion is the saints of god not the land. we ought to have the building up of zion as our greatest object... the time is soon coming when no man will have any peace but in zion and her stakes.

so long as unrighteous acts are suffered in the church. it cannot be sanctified. neither can zion be redeemed. not only will zion. the new jerusalem. be built upon the american continent. but the old jerusalem with be restored.

we are shown what happens when people begin to feel that they are better than others and think they deserve more than them: covenants are broken . wars erupt . and the sacred lands must be defended to the last man. the title of liberty was because people had broken covenants.

perry kimball: returned from the india mission.
there has been an active mission in india for 12 years. there are now two missions in india that includes nepal. there are now 7 thousand first generation members of the church. the indian people are humble and ready for the gospel. it is their prayers that make them ready. prayer should be a time to ponder . communicate with god . and receive answers. i learned how to pray from my investigators.

let your your hearts be comforted concerning zion. for all flesh is in my hands. be still and know that i am god. for this is zion: the pure in heart. the size of our own zion is equivalent to the size of our testimony. use the temple as the model for building zion in our homes. zion will not be the same without our ancestors. we are not perfect. but we need to do our best.
