Johnny Appleseed was a real person.
He was born John Chapman on September 26, 1774.

Johnny Appleseed was was a nurseryman captivated by
the American western movement. As he traveled west
to Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois, he planted
apple trees along the way. Johnny was a deeply
religious man who led a very simple life.
He rarely accepted money and often
donated any money he received.

Celebrate the day by eating a juicy apple, making
some homemade applesauce, having apple
pie for dessert, or maybe even
planting an apple tree...

I'm working on the background, it's suppose to be white where the words are. .. it's a work in progress. Unfortunately I only have five min here and there to work on it.
Tiffany - I figured as much, but I wasn't sure if you knew the white wasn't working yet or not, or if it was just my eyes getting old... LOL
