joseph smith knew the bible and was aware that it wasn.t always clear on some important matters. he knew what to ask and was given important insights into understanding the plan of salvation.
there is no beginning or end to spirits. before god organized our spirits. we were intelligences. all the minds and spirits that god ever sent into the world are susceptible of enlargement [improvement]. this statement got a big laugh. especially by those of us who are constantly exercising and dieting... it is important that we have a finite world. it is a test of our faith. all beings who have bodies have power over those who have not. triumphing over our enemies and putting them under foot is referring to our weaknesses. not other human beings.
all persons are entitle to their agency. for god has so ordained it. satan cannot seduce us by his enticements unless we in our hearts consent and yield. repentence cannot take place until we accept the responsibility and the accountability.

1. the big bomb: riches . pride. and social classes [helaman 13:21-22] treasures will become slippery [helaman 13]
2. the two fours: 400 years . literal destruction. 4 generations . spiritual destruction riches are not bad. it's what you do with them...
3. it.s all about family: sacred ordinances and covenants. the washing of feet and anointing the head to lay claim to loved ones and family in the morning of the first resurrection.
