I love eating French Toast at Magleby's Fresh on Saturday morning. Now that the seasons for fresh strawberries, and fresh peaches with whipped cream have passed, I am loving their famous syrup...
1 cube butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Bring the first five ingredients to a boil. Add baking soda. Boil 10 seconds and remove from heat immediately to avoid boil over.
Now I just need to figure out how they make their French toast....

Oh my! Our youngest daughter used to work at Magelby's and she said it was the best breakfast around -- this looks amazing! I'm definitely going to try it...maybe I'll make it on her first morning back after her mission. Wait -- I may be getting ahead of myself. That won't be until January! Thanks Lyn!
