Sunday Reflections

:: Relief Society ::
Finding Joy in the Journey - President Thomas S. Monson: Let us relish life as we live it, find foy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. We all experience change in our lives - both good and bad; fast and slow. We need to not dwell in the past, but take advantage of opportunities as they come our way. Never let a problem to be solved become more important thatn a person to be loved. Always be grateful for life and what it offers us.

:: Sunday School :: Mormon 1-6; Moroni 9
These chapters are full of distruction, carnage, blood and horror. It is hard to read, but it is there because we will need to know of these things because there is a Savior and a temptor in all worlds, and if we are to ever have worlds of our own, we will have to know all things.

The consequences of apostasy are great. The more we know the more we are accountable for, just as when we climb a ladder, the higher we climb, the farther we have to fall.

The American continent will not escape the ravages of the signs of the times, but we need not fear if we always keep in our minds 1) the covenants of the Father and 2) the Savior - there is hope! [see Book of Mormon title page and Mormon 5:14.

The Holy Ghost is the first comforter, and Jesus Christ is the second comforter.

:: Sacrament Meeting ::
Brother Bott: We can show our gratitude by being there for each other, living so we can enjoy the blessings of the temple, obeying our parents, and praying daily.

Brother Nimmer: No matter our adversities, we can still be grateful and happy. Instead of grumbling about what you don't have, be grateful you don't get what you deserve.

Brother Kemp: May we be more aware of those around us who need our help.
