Blessed

Meet Whitney Kropp, a sophomore at Ogemaw Heights High. She was stunned and thrilled when she learned that she'd been named to her Homecoming court. But that happiness passed quickly when she discovered why. It turns out, the other students at her school thought it would be funny if the "popularity" contest was won by someone who was "unpopular." We can't even imagine how she must have felt.

Luckily, Whitney's embarrassment didn't last too long. In light of the situation, her town decided to rally behind her. Businesses bought her dinner, took her photos, did her hair and nails, and dressed her in a gown, shoes and a tiara. They even packed the football stadium so they could cheer when she was introduced at halftime.

Even though we are really disappointed in the actions of some of her peers, we love how brave Whitney was and how incredibly kind those who supported her have been.

Blessed is the person who sees the need,
recognizes the responsibility,
and actively becomes the answer...
