I made this bread today and it was delicious.

Strawberry Sugar Bread
1 cup mashed strawberries
1/3 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
1/3 cup [minus 1 tsp.] water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ¾ cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts [optional]
Cook the strawberries, over medium heat, until just boiling. Cook one minute more, then remove from heat and cool. Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in the eggs, water, and vanilla. Blend in the flour, soda, salt, and baking powder. Add the strawberries and nuts and combine it all together. Spoon into a greased baking dish, and bake at 350ยบ for one hour.
