My parents were sure they were going to have another boy, and had picked out the name Christopher James. Then, when I surprised them by being a girl, they just name me after my mother: Ruth Evelyn. My mom was known by Ruth and they called me Lyn (Lynnie when I was younger). P.S. the next baby was a boy so the planned name did not go to waste...

Quirks are Odd Habits

1. When I go somewhere new, I spend hours taking it all in to learn everything I can. Recently, when we went to see Body Worlds, everyone else was done in about 90 minutes. It took me 5 hours! If I ever go to Disney World's Epoct Center I will have to go alone...


2. I have all my clocks set ahead from 5 to 15 minutes to help me be on time, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm still late, just not as late. I also keep one clock in the bedroom on standard time, even when we are on daylight savings time...


3. Whenever I tell someone that I have never had a broken bone, I have to knock on something wood, like I just did when I typed this...


4. I would much rather mow the lawn, shovel the snow, and weed the garden than vacuum, dust, and do the dishes...


5. I am definitely a night person. I stay up all night long, and can still function the next day if I need or want to...


6. I don't like to dress up! I choose jeans over a dress whenever I can...

Kitchen Tag

Here's my bottom-freezer fridge that I love:
(I just wish a French-door fridge with a bottom freezer would fit in the space...)

That's a lot of food for three people...
(Notice the abundance of important things like butter and Vernors. LOL)

Oh, how I wish I had a big pantry:
